AUSTIN NATURE & SCIENCE CENTER has nature-themed camps to inspire and delight children of all ages. Tadpole Camp (for ages 3-6) focuses on hands-on activities like making crafts, working with animals, and splashing around in the kiddie pool. Discovery Camp (ages 5-6) includes field trips, swimming at Deep Eddy, and a naturalist workshop and trade counter. Kids ages 7 and 8 will swim every day, learn to use microscopes and telescopes, and visit a planetarium at Nature Camp. CAMP C.A.M.P. The acronym stands for Children's Association for Maximum Potential, and the camp means a summer of swimming, horseback riding, canoeing, outdoor cooking, and crafts for children and adults with special needs and disabilities.
